Experience

Psychology and design have been passions of Jason's from an early age, defining his educational background which includes Masters degrees in Psychology and Human Factors and a doctoral degree in the psychology of visualizing information.

Jason then started work in the Internet domain, conducting usability projects for a variety of clients in the UK, before moving to Germany to set up a User-Centred Design Process within Sony's European Research Headquarters. Jason then worked in the Professional Broadcasting division of Sony before joining HFI.

Throughout this time Jason has worked on the usability of a wide range of different products, including:

  • Internet sites
  • CRM software
  • Corporate intranets
  • Banking transaction systems
  • Projection based PDA's
  • Speech controlled systems
  • Handwriting recognition systems
  • Automobile diagnostic equipment
  • Hardware / software for TV studio networking

Most of this work has been carried out within international teams across Europe, Asia and the US. Jason is therefore extremely well versed in dealing with the issue of cultural differences in usage and design.
