Human Factors International named to 'Inc. 5000' list with 3-year sales growth of 105%
The Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies represent aggregate revenue of $185 billion
New York, NY – 22 Aug 2008
Human Factors International (HFI), the global user-experience design leader, today announces it has been named one of the 5000 fastest growing private companies in America by Inc. magazine. HFI's sales have more than doubled over the last three years, growing by 105%. The Inc. 5000 is the preeminent ranking of privately held, independent companies in the US. See HFI's Inc. 5000 profile.
According to Inc., HFI is the world's largest company specializing in usability and user experience design. "PET design," HFI's proprietary approach to user experience design that encompasses Persuasion, Emotion, and Trust, was developed from extensive research, test programs, and client engagements with Fortune 500 companies over the last several years.
Jay More, president of HFI states, "PET design has been developed to move web design beyond just efficiency and performance, aligning it intimately with business strategy and objectives.
"With the evolution of Web 2.0 and websites often being the first (and only) customer touch points for organizations, PET design is redefining web design as a holistic user experience that stimulates customer action, optimizes conversion, and maximizes ROI while building brand loyalty. The proof of need for our services is reflected in marketplace demand and our company's rate of growth, as noted by Inc."
The 5000 companies that made the list reported aggregate revenue of $185 billion and were responsible for creating more than 826,033 jobs since their founding. Only 62 Inc. 5000 companies, including HFI, are not headquartered in metropolitan areas. (Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and a list of the fastest-growing companies that can be sorted by industry and region can be found at www.inc5000.com.)
The fastest growing sectors among the Inc. 5000 companies are:
- Energy: 298%
- Government Services: 220%
- Security: 200%
- IT Services and Software (tie): 187%
- Consulting: 182%
The largest category is IT Services, with 579 Inc. 5000 companies. Business Services (532 companies), Construction (459), Manufacturing (405), and Advertising & Marketing (361) complete the top five industries ranking.
The 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based and privately held, for profit, independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.
