Linda Moir, Manager, Web Communications, Alberta Blue Cross
"I went to a taxonomy conference [recently] and much of the discussion was around 'are we a profession?', 'what are the qualifications needed?', 'what should we call ourselves,' and 'do we need a certification program?' HFI is way ahead of the game and has done so much to provide standards for the usability field through their courses and programs. I really appreciate the work they're doing and feel that I'm able to do a better job for my company as a result of HFI's courses and certification program."

Jeff Thompson, Corporate Presentation Layer Business Lead,Syncrude Canada, Ltd.
"In terms of system projects, this has probably been one of the more successful projects in our organization. And it has been well received. Now we have the president of our company using this [Intranet] tool, right down to the individual on the shop floor and in the field. That's very gratifying for us to know, that we have a tool that is actually being used – from the casual user to the expert user."

Carol Bowman, Intranet Webmaster, ARINC
"Before HFI helped us redesign our Intranet, ARINC's employees had trouble finding what they were looking for. People had to navigate through department subsites that each looked very different from one another. The results of the usability tests and card sorts have given us an Intranet which is much more cohesive and user-friendly. HFI also taught our Web team how to use these great new methods to create future Intranet pages on our own."

Carrie McGarr, Marketing & Communications, Calvert Foundation
"Calvert Foundation is fortunate to have an extremely generous and loyal group of supporters, and we needed to enhance our website in a way conducive to growing that community. HFI identified key elements that could make an immediate difference in the experience visitors have on our website, and helped us realize our untapped potential for engaging new visitors. We had many of the tools in place, but HFI gave us clear and feasible ways to simplify the language, the look and feel, and the overall steps someone might take in getting to know us. On top of it all, they were evocatively honest, refreshingly sincere, and truly fun to spend time with. I really look forward to working with them again."
