Abhijit has worked in the field of industrial design since 1995. He has an extensive experience in the design and development of new products based on emerging technologies and has worked for consumer product and engineering companies. He joined Human Factors International, India in 2000 and now works as a project director. Since then he has worked on over 50 usability projects for clients in industries ranging from financial services to telecom, retail, healthcare and technology.

Abhijit enjoys working on complex system design projects involving close interactions with the users, stakeholders, and developers to provide pragmatic design solutions. He effectively manages tradeoffs in implementation and design.

His current interest is in designing the user experience for the financial services industry and has extensively worked on many such projects over the past few years. His other interests include designing accessible systems and interfaces for members of the elderly and disabled population as well as designing research for products and services for emerging markets.

Abhijit now leads HFI's Center of Excellence client teams along with a collection of usability specialists, graphic designers, and prototypers who work together to deliver world-class user-centered design solutions.
