Design Modification Log

Eric is dejected. His design has failed in the market. He confesses to Beeky the Researcher, "It was one of the best designs I've worked on." Beeky disagrees… reminding himself that it had only three per cent usage. Eric is nonplussed. "I just don't understand it!" he says.

Beeky says he knows what went wrong. And holds the Design Modification manual in front of Eric.

Gist: It is common to have spent many person years on a usable and effective design only to find it destroyed by an accumulation of small modifications during the implementation stage.
