Post Release Evaluation

Big Bucks the Manager is frantic. Fervently shaking his hands in the air he cries to Eric: "We followed your method. We took your training. We used your standards! Why would we want to do an evaluation NOW! It's done. It's a big success. Why?"

Eric explains, "Improvements might be possible..."

To prove Eric's point, Beeky the Researcher holds out a $1.2-million-per-year profit statement, which is a direct result from the improvement made.

Gist: One reason for post release evaluation is to complete additional Summative Testing. This will verify that the objectives of the design were actually met. It does sometimes happen that there are unintended effects of the design and these must be found.
