Human Factors International sponsors events for World Usability Day 2007
Once again, HFI is supporting World Usability Day. This year we are sponsoring events in Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and S. Africa. In addition, HFI is sponsoring worldwide webcasts for World Usability Day.
At the Chicago event, HFI's Chief of Technical Staff, Susan Weinschenk, will speak on "Evaluating Healthcare Web Sites for Emotional Momentum and Generational Effectiveness". She will also run an Innovation Lab/Interactive Session. Participants will evaluate healthcare websites on emotional engagement and generational effectiveness, using criteria provided by Dr. Weinschenk. They will work in small teams and then share their findings for discussion. Participants will then suggest interface design changes to improve the emotional and generational effectiveness of the sites.
Mayor Richard Daley proclaims November 8, 2007 to be World Usability Day in Chicago.
In New York, HFI's Project Director April McGee will speak on "Persona Development: A Healthcare Case Study." Chief Scientist Kath Straub, and Project Director Spencer Gerrol will run an interactive eye-tracking session.
