HFI's Centers of Excellence (CE) provide on-demand and cost-effective access to HFI's team of usability experts, graphics and prototyping support over a sustained period. The CE team offers a variety of professional services depending upon your specific requirements. The team works with your staff, scales to your needs, and adapts to your company's conventions. They are extensively trained and certified in HFI's methodology of user-centered design, ensuring you high-quality deliverables.

Brief descriptions of CE team members are outlined below:

Team Member	Description and Key Responsibilities
CE Lead (always required)	Usability specialist with a Masters degree or 5 years in the field, HFI-trained and CUA. Manages projects, scheduling, delivery of work, and special needs
Senior Usability Specialist	Usability Specialist with BS/BFA and 2 years of experience, HFI-trained and CUA. Supports CE Lead in completing all usability analyses and design activities.
Senior Graphics Specialist	Online graphics artist with BFA and 3 years experience and completed HFI's special Graphics Factors training. Provides creative direction.
Graphics Specialist	Online graphics artist with a certificate from a major institution, has 1 year of experience, and completed HFI's special Graphics Factors training. Follows style guides and templates and prepares production graphics.
Software Analyst	Coding specialist with at least a BS in computer science, 3 years experience, and completed HFI's Web Design class. Provides overall management of prototype development and hosting.
Programmer	Coding specialist with a certificate in computer science, 1 year experience, and completed HFI's Web Design class. Codes prototypes in HTML.

Typical Team Structure: Depending upon each company's set of goals and staffing requirements, different levels of expertise in usability, graphics, and technical support can be combined.
