In Mumbai, India, HFI has a staff of over 100—with skills in usability,
graphics, writing, translation, and prototyping. The HFI operation in
India is the first usability vendor to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification
and leads the way in organized and mature software usability.
HFI systematically selects all global staff and rigorously trains them
in technical, cultural, and communications skills. Projects are completed
with a scientific methodology, document management system, quality assurance
process as well as tools, templates, and standards. We have a solid infrastructure
and advanced communication facilities for effective and inexpensive communication
between the different locales. Staff frequently travels for requirements
gathering (a round trip to the USA costs about $1800).
The global staff works in concert with our local people to provide an
optimal blended solution. They can also work directly with your internal
staff. They are available on a daily basis, but it is often more cost
effective to use the staff on extended contracts.
