| |
| Maximum course size |
|
24 students |
 |
| Room requirements |
- A 24-hour hold on the meeting room for the duration of the course is ideal so course materials and equipment may be left in the room overnight.
- A cart or projection table for the computer projector if it is not ceiling mounted.
- A small table for instructor materials.
|
 |
| AV Equipment requirements |
- One computer projector: XGA, 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, preferably 1000 lumens but at least 500 lumens brightness. The projection unit should have the capability of projecting both the instructor’s laptop and on-site computer using a switch box.
- An on- site PC or laptop for instructor use with high speed Internet access, equipped with CD Rom drive, Power Point software, and speakers. Instructor will bring his/her own laptop to teach, and switch to the facility’s computer to show Web sites on the Internet.
- One projection screen (large wall screen is preferred). It is helpful to be able to dim the lights in the front of the classroom so the screen is easier to see.
- One flip chart with two pads of paper (at least 50 sheets per pad) and/or whiteboards with markers.
- One extension cord with six outlets.
- A connection to the room's speaker system, or external speakers for the instructor’s laptop computer.
- A backup speaker system, if available, to be used if the room is too large, outside noises are too loud, or when one or more students have trouble hearing the instructor.
- Student PCs (with a CD drive) to access the Internet. Individual PCs are not required, students can share (two is preferred but up to three per computer is acceptable).
